Fall {Porch} Decorations

Happy Fall Y'all!! I, like many of you, just love this time of year. The fresh crisp air, the changing and falling leaves, the pumpkins.... Ahhhh. Just, love. And this year I am really able to actually celebrate this love that I have for the season in the right way. I have a mantel {you can check out the tutorial on how I made it here}, and a front porch since we now live in a house. Yesssss. So what do you think I did? Went out and bought lots of pumpkins and flowers and gourds? And arranged them all in a perfectly imperfect way? Gosh. You guys know me so well. So, you ready to see it? Cause I've got lots of pics. Lots of inspiration for your own front porches.

Funny, story. I was out in front taking all these pictures at all these weird angles, with my little guy in his pac n play just giggling and chattering away {he loooves to be outside!}, as these neighbors walked by with their dog. They saw me and said, 'It looks nice!' I laughed and said thanks, but I have to admit. I was a tad embarrassed. I didn't want to be THAT neighbor. Oh well.

I LOVE this little ladder. I picked it up at a garage sale one morning. I happened to spy it in the corner and I immediately dropped whatever it was that I had in my hand and ran over to it. I basically yelled asked the guy how much he wanted for it, and he said, oh, I don't want to ask too much for it, so, is a a dollar OK? I snorted chuckled sweetly and handed over my dollar. And here she is in her debut.

Yep. What a keeper. That gourd in the middle was too awesome with it's stem, and I think that wee little pumpkin at the bottom just upped the cute factor a tad.

Do you like my duck? He was actually here when we moved in. We named him Howard.

These are my favorite two gourds. I was never really into gourds before, but when I was buying my pumpkins I saw this bag of them, and they really caught my eye. So added some in this year, and I really like how they've added more texture and color.

I don't remember what the names of these flowers are, but I was able to find some really full and pretty ones at Wal-Mart!

Do you know what that is? It's an old gas can! My dad found it at my grandad's ranch and brought it back for me. I wasn't really sure what I would do with it, but as I was putting this display together, I decided to add it in. And it turned out to add lots of character to the rustic display!

So what do you think? You like it? Are pumpkins and flowers and gourds your thing? What do you like to decorate with on your front porch?

I hope you enjoyed your time sitting on my front porch and having a cup of coffee!
