Fall is here, fall is here! OK, well, not totally here. It's still over 100 degrees here in my neck of the woods... But September screams fall to me, and soon the temperature will follow suit. And as of the first, I have had my sweet little fall wreath on my door. Ahhhh. Wanna see?
What do you think?! I looove this wreath... Because it's not a typical wreath. I've seen the frame thing done a few times, like here, and I just love the look. So I finally decided to try it out for myself with my fall one.
This was super simple to make. All I did was paint up a frame that I got from Goodwill, and then sanded it down so that it has a nice old and rustic feel. Then I cut some burlap ribbon to the length I wanted and tied a knot at the top.
I found some cute, sparkly brown stickers in my scrap book drawer, and used those to spell 'Happy Fall'. For the bunting, I just cut some triangles out of burlap and then painted them antique white. When it was dry, I sanded it down a tad and then added the stickers. Then I hot glued the triangles to some twine, and glued the twine to the back of the frame.
I then added some of these sweet fabric rosettes. I looove fabric rosettes. They are so easy and quick to make! {See that yellow fabric? I love it and am dying to use it on another project}... And that's it! An easy and quick fall wreath!
What do you think? What are you doing for your fall wreath?
