Plus, I have my Christmas party to get ready for this coming Friday, so I wanted the house to be all ready to go. I really love to decorate for Christmas, and it's all over my house. But I really strive to make it pretty and inviting, not tacky. Hopefully I got the job done!
I think its safe to say at this point, that I love doing banners across my mantel. Love. It. And I found the perfect chevron fabric at Hobby Lobby. Score.
I made this printable with one of my hubbys favorite Christmas song sayings. He was super excited to see that it made the mantle.
I guess one day I'll have to use something else to decorate my mantle with besides the window frame. But not yet!
You may remember my Halloween mantle in which I used these branches and vase filled with Spanish moss, for my crow tree. So for the Christmas mantle, I had this idea to do an ornament tree. I sprayed the branches white, and hung little ball ornaments on it. Then I filled the vase with some Epsom salt to give it a bit of a snow look.
I absolutely love this glitter ball garland. Its one of my favorite pieces to decorate with.
So, what do you think? How did you decorate your mantle? Traditional colors, bright colors? I would love to see!
