Mustache Bash Party {Invitations}

Pin It My little guy is turning one next month! I can't even believe it. It goes by fast and slow all at the same time... So, as you can imagine, I am planning a big party for him! Woot! I decided to go with a mustache party theme for out little man. I am SO excited! And it's pretty easy to find lots of mustache inspiration and party ideas since it is apparently all the rage right now.

And I have something I need your opinion on. I have made four invitations, and I can't decide which one I want to use! And I need to hurry up and decide since the invitations need to go out like, yesterday. Ha!

Framed {Important} Dates

So I bought this new book case a few weeks ago.... And it's large. Very In charge. It's an unfinished piece that I plan on painting, when I find the color I want to use. Big plans, I tell you. Big plans. But while I am waiting to paint it, I can't have naked shelves. Ick. So I have been slowly putting things together to decorate these very naked shelves. And I've just about got it I think. I'll really know once I get it all painted. I have this one shelf that I have three empty frames propped up on, and I was trying to decide what I was going to put in them. I have seen these important date printables all over pinterest, but they're all from Etsy, and since I can't buy anything during my no spend month... I decided to make my own.....

Spending Cleanse... Week 3 Update

Is August ooooooveeeer yet...?? Haha, can you tell I'm starting to get a little tired of this now? Well, I am. It's been three weeks, and we've been doing really well. We did spend the most last week that we've spent so far... But that's ok. I planned on that happening. That's why I told you the goal was to spend the least amount of money early in the month so that we had more for later. Just in case.

New Stuff in the Shop!

So I've been working on some reclaimed wood signs, and I wanted to share them with you! I love all the stuff I've seen floating around when it comes to wood and pallet art. So I got busy making some pieces to put up in the shop!

Spending Cleanse..... Week 2 Update

Woot Woot! Week 2 is done!  We are halfway through this challenge people! We did pretty well this week. I only had to make one grocery trip, and run a few other small errands, so I also did pretty good on my gas. I found this week to be easier than last week, and I also felt a lot more motivated to really stick to it.

Easy Pizza Monkey Bread

Pin It I love pizza. I admit it. That's step one right? Between pizza and mexican food, I could be a happy camper. So when I saw this on Pinterest, I had to make it. Now, she used actual pizza dough... But I did not. Because I didn't have any on hand. What I did use was biscuits. I bought a 4 pack of Pillsbury biscuits one day, and then they sat in the fridge. And now I know why.... They were destined to be used for this.

Spending Cleanse... Week 1 Update

Pin It We made it through the first week! Whew! It was a tad difficult. It's like going on a diet. At first it's really difficult, and after just a few days it feels like you've been doing it for forever. Am I skinny yet?! But that's how it goes for any major change that you make to your way of living.

I found it really difficult to change the way that I ran my errands, how we eat, and what we do for entertainment. Because when you don't have any disposable income, you can't just head out willy nilly whenever you want to go here and there, and do this and that. I had to sit down and plan the errands that I needed to run, so that I could do everything at one time. I wouldn't be able to make multiple trips, so if I forgot something, it had to wait til the next day. Which happened a few times this week...

"Spending Cleanse" August

Pin It Now that summer is coming to an end, it's time to take a look at the old bank account and see what kind of damage has been done. Between moving, doing a craft show, opening an Etsy shop and getting an inventory ready to be a vendor in a store, and vacation, the checking account has really taken a hit. We have just been spending a ton of money the last couple of months, and now it's time to reign it in. August is a good time for us to do this since it's at the end of summer. But every family is different, so if you choose to take on this challenge, pick a time that is right for you and your family's needs.
